We believe that giving back to the community is an essential part of any business. That’s why Kanga Roof holds it’s annual Support a Veteran Roof Giveaway each summer. This summer, we were happy to give back to one of Bucks County’s proud veterans.

Joe Crespo, a Vietnam veteran who was blinded while serving, lives in Bristol Township with his wife, Elise. Even though he’s visually impaired, Joe still mows the lawn and runs 4 miles a day. After retiring from the Fairmount Park Commission, Joe and Elise noticed their home’s roof was in trouble.

We agreed. Joe’s roof was in bad shape—but we were there to lend a helping hand! We showed up on Monday and Joe’s home had a new roof by Tuesday morning! You can see a photo album of the transformation on our Facebook Page. We love being able to give back to our veterans, because we believe that they have already given so much. We were happy to provide Joe and Elise with the quality roof that their home really needed.
Kanga Roof continuously gives back to Bucks County. Not only does our Support a Veteran Roof Giveaway help a veteran in need—but our Holiday Roof Giveaway aims to help a Bucks County family in need during the holiday season. We also hold a coloring contest every year, march in holiday parades and sponsor local little league teams. It’s important to be a part of the community, and that’s one of the main messages in our mission statement.
If you think your home’s roof needs some work—contact us at 215.752.6145. We’ll be happy to help you just like we help the community and our loyal clients. Kanga Roof is here to help with quality roofing services and charitable endeavors. Congratulations, Joe Crespo…and a special thank you to all of Bucks County’s veterans. Your service will always be appreciated.
One of the most important aspects of the Kanga Roof mission is giving back to our community, and our veterans are the most important individuals to serve. Every year, we give a roof to a veteran in need, and this year we wanted to do something that could help a number of veterans living in Bucks County. That’s why we participated in this year’s Que for the Troops.
The Falls Township Que For The Troops and Family Festival was a fun fundraiser for veterans that focused on a fierce BBQ competition. Everything was delicious, and the event was so much fun! There was a wing eating contest, live entertainment and fun for the whole family. If you missed it—here’s a neat drone video shot by Anthony Maruca.
On Saturday, we had our very own spot! We thought the Que for The Troops was the perfect place to host our Customer Appreciation BBQ, and our clients stopped by to have fun and raise money for the Liberty USO. We opened up the BBQ to everyone in attendance at the Que for the Troops and happily celebrated with over 1,300 people! We met new people and celebrated our veterans. It was really a wonderful Saturday afternoon.
The most rewarding aspect of the entire experience was successfully raising $3,000 for the Liberty USO! At the Falls Township Board of Supervisors Meeting this past week, The Que for The Troops presented the Liberty USO with $15,048.25. We were happy to contribute, and we couldn’t have done it without you! Thank you to everyone that stopped by our booth and helped us raise money for our veterans.

You already know how important the community is to Kanga Roof, and you know that we love to give back. Whether it’s our Support a Veteran Roof Giveaway or the sponsorship of one of our many outstanding sports teams—we know how important it is to contribute to the neighborhood that’s helped us grow. Every year, we have a special Coloring Contest for the kids in Bucks County, and this year’s entrees were outstanding!
When we attended Family night at the Chick-fil-A in the Oxford Valley Mall we really decked the place out with Kanga Roof prizes! So may of our kangaroo animals found good homes, and we were so overwhelmed with all of the coloring talent! It was hard to choose the winners of this year’s Coloring Contest, but we were up for the challenge!
We congratulated four special artists on a job well done! Our winners were treated with a little kangaroo to take home with them along with our other fun Kanga Roof Prizes! Some of our more coveted prizes included a pair of tickets to a Phillies game, and some passes to Bounce U in Langhorne, PA!
Congratulations to our winners, Robbie Stark, Ava Raymond, Sophia Santiago and Stephanie Moyer! You are exceptional artists, and we can’t wait to see your work in the future. Thank you to everyone that participated in this fun family filled event! We love this time of year, and we can’t wait until next year’s Coloring Contest! Our community service doesn’t stop there! If you know a Veteran in need of a new roof you can nominate them for our 2015 Support a Veteran Roof Giveaway! We will also be participating in the Que for The Troops this year. Stop by our tent and say hello. You’ll be helping us raise money for the Liberty USO!

April Showers bring May flowers, but sometimes the rain leaves you and your kids bored in doors without anything to do. Don’t think of the rain as a downer, but as an opportunity for the family to spend time with one another! Rainy days are the best way to bring the family together for some fun filled activities. We love adding fun family activities on our For Kids board on Pinterest. Here are a few of our favorite indoor activities that are sure to make those rainy days as fun as the sunny ones!
You’re kids are cooped up inside on a miserable day—why not bring the high seas directly to them? You can transform your bathtub into the seven seas with this fun indoor activity for your kids. All you need is one piece of poster board cut into the form of a sail taped to your bathroom wall and a steering wheel made of black poster board taped to the front of your “tub boat.” You can even lay a blue blanket onto the bathroom floor to create the perfect vast ocean! Your kids will have a great time fishing off the side of the boat or pretending to be pirates! This activity will make the rainy day float by!
Have some extra crepe paper lying around the house? Better yet…is it red? Take a few stripes and tape them in different angles in a long hallway. Have the kids do their best jewelry thief impression and challenge them to make it through without touching the paper.
Have some fun with a bag filled with googly eyes! Give your kids a magazine, some copies of old family photos and some Elmer’s Glue and you’ll have entertainment for hours! Turn the celebrity on the cover of your Vanity Fair into a googly eyed mess. Make grandma look silly with a pair of giant eyes. Your kids will love adding this fun craft to any photo in the house! So look out!
